Reading through my luvly copy of Kerrang! when I read a little article about iDLEWiLD. It read:
"Idlewild have started work on the follow up to last year's 'hope is important' debut album. The band have enlisted Shellac bassist Bob Weston as producer.
""We've demo'd five songs already," vocalist Roddy Woomble reveals. "They're as melodic as anything we've done. And Bob Weston has recorded some of my favourite bands like June of 44 and Rachels, so we think the album will turn out cool."
Idlewild have been confirmed for this summer's Reading and T In The Park Festivals, and play a one-off date at Glasgow Gararge on May 31st. "It was the worst tour we've ever done," he winces. "People were standing in the front with their fingers in their ears!""
Woo hoo! A new album and they're playing Reading (which I am soooo going to)! Good good.

Roddy Woomble speaks in Kerrang! about the recently voted "greatest song ever" Smells Like Teen Spirit (Nirvana - for the isolated of us who have never been in the 'real world')
He says "Teen Spirit is primal rock'n'roll. It's important because it makes you want to be in a band. You react by growing your hair as close to Kurt's as possible. You find out about The Vaselines, Sebadoh and any other band Nirvana name check. It's the best slice of guitar music since 1969."
That is all I've got so far. If you got any, submit it to Me or Amy.
